Sport is the most important word in Split. Split lives for sport and has a number of Olympic medals. Hajduk football club is "sacred".

 

Blanka Vlašić, Goran Ivanišević, Stipe Božić, Toni Kukoč, Dino Rađa, Tina Mihalić, Lucija and Ana Zaninović, and many other excellent sports names originate from Split.

 

The Split Sport Hall of Fame is an institution located in the Museum of Sport in Split.

 

It pays tribute to deserving athletes of Split, trying to preserve and promote sport at all levels.
