FREE drinking water

It is safe to drink tap water in Croatia, as well as to quench thirst from drinking water fountains. The water that flows from taps and water fountains in Split has all the properties of drinking water.

It's time for a sip of water from the river Jadro. Here are a few spins, public drinking water fountains and similar water troughs in Split, with freely available water.

Of course, there's more (see map).

Drinking water on the streets of Split is free. Drinking water around the fountains on Marjan hill is free.

Water for thirsty mouth was supplied to Split from the Jadro spring via Diocletian's aqueduct in the time of Diocletian.
